Interested in joining our Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP)?
At Sage Haven Society, we believe in the power of community and the strength of supporting one another. Our Sexual Assault Advocacy and Response Program (SARP) is a crucial initiative that empowers survivors of sexual assault on their journey to healing and justice.
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of compassionate volunteers who play a vital role in making a difference. The SARP program at Sage Haven Society provides comprehensive support to survivors of sexual assault. Volunteers undergo extensive training programs, continuously updated to ensure they are well-equipped to handle the unique challenges survivors may face.
- Make a Real Impact: By joining SARP, you become an essential part of the network that supports survivors. Your presence and support can make a significant difference in their journey towards healing.
- Comprehensive Training: Our training programs are run on a continuous, as-needed basis. As a volunteer, you will receive training in crisis intervention, emotional support, and information on available resources. We ensure that our volunteers are well-prepared to handle the sensitive nature of the work.
- Collaborative Approach: SARP volunteers work closely alongside other victim services, law enforcement, and forensic nurse teams. This collaborative approach allows us to bridge gaps in services, provide advocacy, and, most importantly, offer emotional support from a trauma-informed perspective.
- Continuous Learning: We are committed to our volunteers’ ongoing education and development. As part of the SARP team, you will have continued learning and professional growth opportunities.
If you are interested in making a positive impact in the lives of survivors and are eager to contribute to the community, we invite you to join our team.
Please contact our SARP Coordinator directly at 250-736-0707 for more information.
