For those unfamiliar with Coldest Night of the Year, it’s a heartwarming, family-friendly winter walk that raises funds locally for Sage Haven Society, aiding those facing hardship, hunger, and homelessness. This year’s event marks the eighth year that Sage Haven Society has organized this community event in the Alberni Valley.
What truly sets our local event apart is the support of other community-integrated service providers. The Salvation Army, a longstanding supporter, will once again serve warm, nourishing meals to all registered walkers and volunteers. Teams from INEO, West Coast General Hospital Foundation, and the Port Alberni Health Unit are gearing up for a chilly yet spirited walk with their registered teams!
